1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting our website or utilizing the ACE (Automated Compliance Engine) CLI scanner, tools, or documentation, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using our software and accessing this site.
2. Scope of Services & Local Execution
ACE provides a local-first compiler to analyze software codebases, detect frameworks, map compliance evidence, and generate drafts of EU AI Act Annex IV technical documentation.
You acknowledge that the scanning engine relies on structural abstract syntax tree (AST) traversal to parse files in your environment. You are responsible for ensuring your local development environment meets the necessary system requirements (e.g. Python >= 3.11, relevant Tree-sitter binaries) to run the CLI utility.
3. Crucial Regulatory & Legal Disclaimer
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY.
⚠️ Regulatory Notice
ACE is designed to assist software teams in organizing codebase evidence and drafting compliance materials. The generated files, reports, audits, and checklists DO NOT constitute formal legal advice, legal audits, or statutory certification.
The output generated by the compliance engine is a draft and must be reviewed, verified, and signed off by a qualified legal professional or regulatory officer before any official submission to European Union regulators or conformity assessment bodies.
4. Intellectual Property
Our website design, logos, simulated terminal code, backend systems, and marketing materials are the exclusive property of ACE and are protected by applicable trademark and copyright laws.
The compliance engine output (including generated `annex-iv` markdown pages and `ai-bom.cyclonedx.json` files) is the property of the codebase owner who ran the compilation. We claim no ownership over the outputs generated from your repository analysis.
5. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall ACE, its developers, or its partners be held liable for any damages (including, without limitation, administrative fines under the EU AI Act, legal costs, loss of business profit, or engineering delays) arising out of the use or inability to use the compliance scanner, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damage.
6. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any legal proceedings arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the EU.
